Elizabeth Edwards
Elizabeth Edwards was an American attorney, author, and political figure, best known for her role as the wife of former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate John Edwards. Born on July 3, 1949, in Jacksonville, Florida, she graduated from North Carolina State University and later earned a law degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth was an advocate for health care reform and women's rights. She gained national attention for her candidacy alongside her husband during the 2004 presidential election and later for her battle with cancer, which she documented in her memoir, Resilience. Elizabeth Edwards passed away on December 7, 2010.
