Elizabeth Borden
Elizabeth Borden was a prominent figure in American history, primarily known for her connection to the infamous Lizzie Borden case. Born in 1860 in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of wealthy businessman Andrew Borden and his wife, Sarah Borden. The family lived in a large house, which became the site of a notorious double murder in 1892.
On the morning of August 4, 1892, both Andrew and Abby Borden were found murdered in their home. Lizzie, Elizabeth's sister, was accused of the crimes but was acquitted in a highly publicized trial. The case remains a subject of fascination and speculation in American folklore.
