Elizabeth Báthory was a Hungarian noblewoman born in 1560, known for her infamous reputation as one of history's most notorious female serial killers. She lived in the Kingdom of Hungary and was married to Ferenc Nádasdy, a soldier. After his death, she became the subject of numerous legends and accusations, claiming she tortured and killed young women.
Báthory was arrested in 1610, and her trial revealed shocking details about her alleged crimes. She was accused of murdering over 600 girls, supposedly believing that bathing in their blood would preserve her youth. Ultimately, she was confined to her castle until her death in 1614.
