Element 118
Element 118, known as oganesson, is a synthetic element and part of the noble gases group in the periodic table. It was first synthesized in 2002 by a team of Russian and American scientists. Oganesson is highly unstable and has a very short half-life, making it difficult to study.
Due to its position in the periodic table, oganesson is expected to exhibit unique properties compared to other noble gases like neon and argon. However, its exact characteristics remain largely theoretical, as only a few atoms have ever been produced, limiting experimental observations.
