Electronic Throttle Control
Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) is a system that replaces the traditional mechanical link between the accelerator pedal and the engine's throttle. Instead of using a cable, ETC uses sensors to detect the position of the pedal and sends this information to the engine control unit (ECU). The ECU then adjusts the throttle opening electronically, allowing for more precise control of engine power and efficiency.
This technology enhances vehicle performance by improving response times and fuel efficiency. Additionally, ETC can integrate with other systems, such as anti-lock braking systems and stability control, to provide better overall vehicle safety and handling.
