Election Commission Of Pakistan
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is an independent constitutional body responsible for overseeing and conducting elections in Pakistan. Established in 1956, its primary role is to ensure free, fair, and transparent electoral processes at both national and provincial levels. The ECP manages voter registration, sets election dates, and monitors the conduct of political parties and candidates.
The commission is composed of a Chief Election Commissioner and four members, each appointed by the President of Pakistan. The ECP also addresses electoral disputes and implements reforms to improve the electoral system, aiming to enhance public trust in the democratic process.
