Eleanor of Portugal
Eleanor of Portugal (1431–1467) was a Portuguese princess and the daughter of King Edward of Portugal and Leonor of Aragon. She became the queen consort of King Afonso V of Portugal through her marriage in 1445, strengthening the ties between the Portuguese and Aragonese crowns.
Eleanor was known for her piety and charitable works, contributing to various religious institutions during her lifetime. She had several children, including John II of Portugal, who succeeded Afonso V. Eleanor's legacy is marked by her role in the royal lineage and her influence on Portuguese history.
