Elam
Elam was an ancient civilization located in what is now southwestern Iran. It existed from around 3200 BCE until its conquest by the Persian Empire in the 6th century BCE. The Elamites developed their own language and script, known as Elamite, and had a rich culture that included art, architecture, and trade.
The Elamite kingdom was known for its complex political structure and interactions with neighboring civilizations, such as Mesopotamia. They often engaged in trade and warfare, influencing the region's history. Key cities in Elam included Susa and Anshan, which served as important centers of administration and culture.
