El Chapo
Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán is a former Mexican drug lord and the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the most powerful drug trafficking organizations in the world. Born on December 25, 1954, in La Tuna, Mexico, he rose to prominence in the 1980s and became known for his ability to evade law enforcement and for his extensive drug smuggling operations, primarily involving cocaine and methamphetamine.
Guzmán was arrested multiple times but managed to escape from prison twice, which contributed to his notoriety. In 2016, he was extradited to the United States, where he faced numerous charges related to drug trafficking and organized crime. In 2019, he was sentenced to life in prison, marking the end of his reign in the drug trade.
