Ekstraliga
The Ekstraliga is the top professional football league in Poland. Established in 1927, it features 18 teams competing for the championship title each season. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the lower division, known as I liga.
Matches are typically held from July to May, with each team playing 37 games. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. The Ekstraliga is known for its passionate fan base and has produced many talented players who have gone on to play internationally.
