Efraim Diveroli is an American businessman known for his involvement in arms dealing. He gained notoriety for his role in a controversial government contract to supply weapons to the Afghan National Army during the early 2000s. Diveroli co-founded the company AEY Inc., which was awarded a $300 million contract, but faced legal issues due to the sourcing of outdated ammunition.
In 2009, Diveroli was arrested and later convicted for conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government. His story was later adapted into a film titled War Dogs, which highlights the complexities and ethical dilemmas of private military contracting.
