Edmund II
Edmund II, also known as Edmund Ironside, was an English king who ruled for a brief period in 1016. He was the son of King Æthelred the Unready and Emma of Normandy. His reign was marked by his struggle against the Danish invasion led by Cnut the Great.
Edmund II was known for his bravery in battle and his efforts to defend England. After several confrontations, he was ultimately defeated by Cnut. Edmund II died later that same year, and his short reign is often remembered for the fierce resistance he showed against the Danish forces.
