Edgar Lungu
Edgar Lungu is a Zambian politician who served as the President of Zambia from January 2015 to August 2021. He became president after winning a by-election following the death of Michael Sata, the previous president. Lungu is a member of the Patriotic Front party and has held various government positions, including Minister of Home Affairs.
During his presidency, Lungu focused on economic development, infrastructure projects, and improving healthcare. In the 2021 elections, Lungu was defeated by Hakainde Hichilema, marking the end of his presidency.
