Eddystone Point Lighthouse
Eddystone Point Lighthouse is located on the northeastern tip of Tasmania, Australia. Built in 1858, it stands 30 meters tall and is made of local granite. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Bass Strait.
The lighthouse features a distinctive white tower with a red top, making it easily recognizable. It was automated in 1920, eliminating the need for a resident keeper. Today, Eddystone Point Lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction, offering stunning views of the surrounding coastline and wildlife.
