Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)
The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is a regional arm of the United Nations established to promote economic and social development in the Arab region. It provides a platform for member states to collaborate on issues such as sustainable development, economic growth, and social justice.
ESCWA conducts research, offers policy advice, and facilitates dialogue among its 18 member countries. Its work focuses on enhancing regional cooperation, addressing challenges like poverty and inequality, and supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
