Eastern Grey Kangaroo
The Eastern Grey Kangaroo is a large marsupial native to eastern Australia. It is characterized by its long legs, strong tail, and grey fur, which helps it blend into its natural habitat. Adult males can weigh up to 66 kilograms (145 pounds) and stand over 1.5 meters (5 feet) tall when on their hind legs. They are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses and leaves.
These kangaroos are social animals, often found in groups called mobs. They are most active during dawn and dusk, which is known as crepuscular behavior. The Eastern Grey Kangaroo plays a significant role in the ecosystem by helping to maintain grassland health through grazing.
