EastMed Pipeline
The EastMed Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline that aims to transport gas from the eastern Mediterranean region to Europe. It is designed to connect gas fields in Israel and Cyprus to Greece, facilitating energy supply and enhancing energy security for European countries.
The pipeline is expected to span approximately 1,900 kilometers and could carry around 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually. It is part of broader efforts to diversify energy sources in Europe and reduce reliance on Russian gas, contributing to the region's energy independence and sustainability goals.
