East African Community (EAC)
The East African Community (EAC) is a regional intergovernmental organization established in 2000, aimed at promoting economic, social, and political integration among its member states. The EAC consists of six countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan. The organization focuses on enhancing trade, investment, and infrastructure development within the region.
The EAC also works on various initiatives, including the establishment of a common market and a customs union, to facilitate the free movement of goods, services, and people. Additionally, the EAC promotes cooperation in areas such as health, education, and security to improve the overall well-being of its citizens.
