Earth Summits
Earth Summits are international conferences focused on addressing global environmental issues. They bring together world leaders, scientists, and activists to discuss sustainable development, climate change, and biodiversity. The first major Earth Summit took place in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the Agenda 21 plan was established to promote sustainable practices.
These summits aim to create agreements and action plans that countries can implement to protect the planet. Subsequent Earth Summits, such as the Rio+20 in 2012, have continued to emphasize the importance of collaboration and commitment to environmental goals, fostering a global movement towards sustainability.
