EEG Neurofeedback
EEG Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time monitoring of brain activity to help individuals learn how to regulate their brain function. By placing electrodes on the scalp, it measures electrical activity in the brain, known as electroencephalography or EEG. This information is then displayed on a screen, allowing users to see their brain patterns and make adjustments to improve focus, relaxation, or emotional regulation.
The goal of EEG Neurofeedback is to train the brain to achieve desired states, such as reducing anxiety or enhancing concentration. It is often used in therapeutic settings for conditions like ADHD, anxiety disorders, and epilepsy. While some studies suggest benefits, more research is needed to fully understand its effectiveness and long-term impacts.
