Dyrrhachium
Dyrrhachium, known today as Durrës, is a historic city located on the Adriatic Sea in Albania. It was founded in the 7th century BC by the Greeks and later became an important Roman port. The city played a significant role in trade and military activities due to its strategic location along the Via Egnatia, which connected the Adriatic Sea to the Aegean Sea.

Dyrrhachium was also the site of several historical events, such as the Battle of Dyrrhachium in 48 BC, which involved prominent figures like Julius Caesar and Pompey.
