Dunyazad
Dunyazad is a character from the collection of Middle Eastern folk tales known as One Thousand and One Nights, or Arabian Nights. She is the younger sister of Scheherazade, the main storyteller who narrates tales to the king, Shahryar, to delay her execution. Dunyazad plays a supportive role, encouraging her sister to tell stories each night.
In the tales, Dunyazad often prompts Scheherazade to begin her storytelling by asking for a story before bedtime. This clever strategy not only entertains the king but also helps to save Scheherazade's life, as the stories captivate him and prolong her survival.
