Duke of Devon
The Duke of Devon is a title in the British peerage, created in 1553. It is associated with the historic county of Devon in England. The title has been held by the Cavendish family, who have significant estates, including the famous Chatsworth House.
The current Duke, as of 2023, is Edward Cavendish, the 12th Duke of Devon. The title is part of the British aristocracy and carries various privileges and responsibilities, including participation in the House of Lords, although the majority of hereditary peers no longer have seats there due to reforms.
