Duke of Armagnac
The Duke of Armagnac was a title held by the rulers of the historical region of Armagnac in southwestern France. This title emerged in the 14th century and was associated with the powerful noble family of the House of Armagnac. The dukes played significant roles in the political landscape of France, particularly during the Hundred Years' War.
The most notable Duke of Armagnac was Bernard VII, who became a prominent figure in the early 15th century. He was involved in the internal conflicts of France, notably the Armagnac-Burgundian Civil War. The title eventually fell into disuse, but the legacy of the dukes remains an important part of French history.
