Duke Leopold II of Austria
Duke Leopold II of Austria, born in 1747, was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. He became the Duke of Tuscany in 1765 and ruled until 1790. Leopold was known for his progressive reforms, including improvements in agriculture and the legal system, which aimed to modernize his duchy.
In addition to his role as Duke, Leopold II was also the Holy Roman Emperor from 1790 until his death in 1792. His reign was marked by efforts to maintain stability in the empire during the turbulent times of the French Revolution. Leopold's leadership focused on balancing the interests of various states within the Holy Roman Empire.
