Duke Georg IV
Duke Georg IV, also known as George IV of the United Kingdom, was born on August 12, 1762, and became king in 1820. He was the son of King George III and served as Prince Regent from 1811 due to his father's mental illness. His reign is noted for its extravagant lifestyle and patronage of the arts.
Georg IV was instrumental in the development of Regency architecture and the establishment of the Royal Pavilion in Brighton. He was known for his interest in fashion and culture, which influenced the style of the period. His reign ended with his death on June 26, 1830.
