Duke Geoffrey II of Brittany
Duke Geoffrey II of Brittany was a nobleman who ruled from 1186 until his death in 1213. He was the son of Duke Conan IV of Brittany and Margaret of Huntingdon. Geoffrey was known for his political alliances, particularly through his marriage to Cecilia of France, which strengthened ties with the French crown.
Geoffrey II was also a notable figure in the Plantagenet dynasty, as he was the brother of King Richard I of England and King John of England. His reign was marked by efforts to maintain the independence of Brittany while navigating the complex relationships between England and France.
