Duhok Dam
The Duhok Dam is a significant water reservoir located in the Duhok Governorate of Iraq. Completed in 1988, it was built primarily for irrigation and flood control, helping to manage water resources in the region. The dam creates the Duhok Lake, which is a vital source of water for agriculture and local communities.
The dam stands at approximately 60 meters high and spans about 400 meters in length. It plays a crucial role in supporting the local economy by providing water for farming and drinking. Additionally, the Duhok Dam contributes to the region's energy supply through hydroelectric power generation.
