Du Bellay
Joachim du Bellay was a French poet born in 1522, known for his significant contributions to the Renaissance literary movement. He was a member of the Pléiade, a group of poets who aimed to elevate the French language and literature. Du Bellay's works often explored themes of love, nature, and nostalgia, reflecting his deep connection to his homeland.
One of his most famous works is the collection titled Les Regrets, which expresses his longing for France while he was in Rome. Du Bellay's poetry is characterized by its emotional depth and innovative use of language, making him a key figure in French literature. He passed away in 1560.
