Drone pilots
Drone pilots operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, to capture images, collect data, or perform various tasks. They may work in industries such as agriculture, real estate, film production, and search and rescue. Pilots must understand how to control the drone, navigate airspace regulations, and ensure safety during flights.
To become a drone pilot, individuals often need to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States. This certification requires passing a knowledge test that covers topics like airspace rules, weather, and drone operation. Many pilots also use software for planning and analyzing flight paths.
