Dražen Petrović
Dražen Petrović was a Croatian professional basketball player, widely regarded as one of the greatest European players in the history of the sport. Born on January 22, 1964, in Šibenik, he gained fame for his exceptional shooting skills and playmaking ability. Petrović played for several teams, including Cibona Zagreb in Croatia and the New Jersey Nets in the NBA, where he became a key player in the early 1990s.
Petrović was also a member of the Yugoslav national team, contributing to their success in international competitions. He won numerous medals, including gold at the 1990 FIBA World Championship. Tragically, his life was cut short when he died in a car accident on June 7, 1993, at the age of 29.
