Dr. Carl Jung
Dr. Carl Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology. He is best known for his concepts of the collective unconscious, archetypes, and individuation. Jung's work emphasized the importance of understanding the human psyche through symbols and dreams, which he believed could reveal deeper truths about the self.
Jung's theories diverged from those of his mentor, Sigmund Freud, particularly regarding the role of spirituality and culture in psychological development. He also introduced the idea of personality types, which later influenced the development of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Jung's contributions have had a lasting impact on psychology, art, and literature.
