Dovrebanen
Dovrebanen is a railway line in Norway that connects the cities of Oslo and Trondheim. It spans approximately 540 kilometers and is part of the larger Norwegian railway network. The line is named after the Dovrefjell mountain range, which it traverses, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscapes.
The railway was officially opened in stages between 1880 and 1896, enhancing transportation and trade in the region. Today, Dovrebanen serves both passenger and freight trains, playing a crucial role in connecting northern and southern Norway. It is operated by Vy, the country's primary train service provider.
