Donetsk People's Republic
The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is a self-proclaimed state located in eastern Ukraine, primarily in the Donetsk region. It declared independence from Ukraine in April 2014 amid the ongoing conflict between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists. The DPR is not recognized by Ukraine or most of the international community, which considers it part of Ukraine's territory.
The DPR has its own government and military, but it relies heavily on support from Russia. The region has experienced significant violence and instability due to the conflict, leading to humanitarian issues and displacement of residents. The situation remains complex and contentious, with ongoing negotiations and tensions.
