Dominican Liberation Army
The Dominican Liberation Army (Ejército de Liberación Dominicana) was a guerrilla group formed in the early 1960s in the Dominican Republic. It aimed to overthrow the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo and promote social justice and democracy. The group was part of a broader movement against authoritarian regimes in Latin America during that period.
The army was involved in various military actions and political activities, often collaborating with other revolutionary groups. Its efforts contributed to the eventual downfall of Trujillo's regime in 1961. However, the group faced challenges and internal divisions, leading to its decline in influence by the late 1960s.
