Dja River
The Dja River is a significant waterway located in southeastern Cameroon. It flows through the dense Dja Faunal Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich biodiversity. The river is approximately 200 kilometers long and serves as an important habitat for various species of wildlife, including elephants and primates.
The Dja River is a tributary of the Lobé River, which eventually connects to the Sanaga River. The river's waters are vital for local communities, providing resources for fishing and transportation. Its surrounding forests are also crucial for conservation efforts, helping to protect the unique ecosystems found in the region.
