Divya Desam
Divya Desam refers to the 108 sacred temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu in Hinduism, revered in the ancient Tamil texts known as the Nalayira Divya Prabandham. These temples are significant pilgrimage sites for devotees and are spread across various regions in India, particularly in the southern states.
Each Divya Desam is associated with a specific hymn or verse composed by the Alvars, a group of saint-poets. The temples are celebrated for their architectural beauty and spiritual importance, attracting millions of visitors who seek blessings and engage in devotional practices.
