Districts of China
China is divided into several administrative divisions, including provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. The country has 23 provinces, such as Sichuan and Yunnan, which are further divided into cities and counties. Additionally, there are five autonomous regions, like Tibet and Xinjiang, that have a degree of self-governance due to their unique ethnic compositions.
Municipalities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Chongqing, are major cities that operate independently from provinces. Each district within these municipalities is responsible for local governance and administration. This structure helps manage the vast and diverse population of over 1.4 billion people across the nation.
