Diodorus Siculus
Diodorus Siculus was an ancient Greek historian who lived during the 1st century BCE. He is best known for his work, the "Bibliotheca Historica," which aimed to compile the history of the world from mythical times to his own era. This extensive work consists of 40 books, though only a portion has survived.
Diodorus traveled extensively throughout the Mediterranean, gathering information from various sources, including earlier historians and local accounts. His writings provide valuable insights into the cultures, events, and notable figures of ancient civilizations, including Egypt, Greece, and Rome.
