Dinaric Alps
The Dinaric Alps are a mountain range located in southeastern Europe, primarily stretching through countries like Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. This range is known for its rugged terrain, deep valleys, and high peaks, with the highest point being Maja Jezercë in Albania at 2,694 meters (8,839 feet). The Dinaric Alps are part of the larger Dinaric Alps System.
The region is characterized by its diverse ecosystems, including forests, karst formations, and unique wildlife.
