Digable Planets
Digable Planets is an American hip-hop group formed in 1987, known for their unique blend of jazz, funk, and hip-hop. The trio consists of Ishmael Butler, C. Scott (also known as Doodlebug), and Mary Ann Vieira (known as Ladybug Mecca). They gained popularity in the early 1990s with their innovative sound and socially conscious lyrics.
Their debut album, Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space), released in 1993, featured the hit single "Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)," which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The group disbanded in 1995 but has reunited for various performances since then.
