Diffused Light
Diffused light refers to light that has been scattered in many directions, resulting in a soft and even illumination. This type of light reduces harsh shadows and glare, making it ideal for photography, art, and interior design. It can occur naturally, such as on a cloudy day when sunlight is spread out by the clouds, or artificially through the use of diffusers like lampshades or frosted glass.
In contrast to direct light, which creates sharp shadows and highlights, diffused light provides a more balanced and gentle effect. It is often used in studio lighting to create a flattering appearance for subjects, as well as in landscape photography to enhance the colors and details of a scene without overwhelming brightness.
