Dicruridae
The family Dicruridae, commonly known as drongos, consists of small to medium-sized birds found primarily in Africa, Asia, and Australia. They are characterized by their glossy black plumage, long tails, and strong, agile flight. Drongos are often seen in open habitats, such as forests, savannas, and grasslands.
Drongos are known for their remarkable vocal abilities, producing a variety of calls and mimicking sounds from their environment. They are insectivorous, feeding mainly on insects and small vertebrates, and are often observed foraging in trees or catching prey in mid-air.
