Dextrocardia
Dextrocardia is a rare congenital condition where the heart is positioned on the right side of the chest instead of the left. This condition can occur alone or as part of a syndrome, such as situs inversus, where other organs are also mirrored. Dextrocardia can be detected through imaging techniques like ultrasound or X-rays.
Most individuals with dextrocardia lead normal lives without significant health issues. However, some may experience complications if associated with other heart defects. Diagnosis and management typically involve regular check-ups with a cardiologist to monitor heart function and overall health.
