Dental Structure
Dental structure refers to the arrangement and composition of teeth in the mouth. Each tooth consists of several parts, including the enamel, which is the hard outer layer, the dentin beneath it, and the pulp at the center, which contains nerves and blood vessels. Teeth are categorized into different types: incisors for cutting, canines for tearing, and molars for grinding food.
The human mouth typically contains 32 teeth, including wisdom teeth. These teeth are anchored in the jawbone by roots and are surrounded by gums. Proper dental structure is essential for effective chewing, speaking, and overall oral health.
