Democratic Regions Party
The Democratic Regions Party, known as DBP, is a political party in Turkey that primarily represents the interests of the Kurdish population. Founded in 2014, it emerged from the Peace and Democracy Party and aims to promote democracy, human rights, and regional autonomy. The party advocates for the rights of ethnic minorities and seeks to address issues related to social justice and equality.
The DBP participates in local and national elections, often forming alliances with other leftist and pro-Kurdish parties. It emphasizes grassroots activism and community involvement, striving to empower local governance and enhance political representation for marginalized groups in Turkey.
