Delta I-class
The Delta I-class is a series of nuclear-powered submarines developed by the United States Navy. These submarines were designed primarily for strategic deterrence and are capable of launching Trident ballistic missiles. The Delta I-class was introduced in the early 1970s and played a significant role in the Cold War era.
Each Delta I-class submarine can carry up to 16 missiles and is equipped with advanced sonar and navigation systems. The class has been succeeded by more advanced submarines, but it remains an important part of naval history, showcasing the evolution of underwater warfare technology.
