Delaware Senate
The Delaware Senate is the upper chamber of the Delaware General Assembly, which is the state legislature of Delaware. It consists of 21 members who are elected to serve four-year terms. Each senator represents a specific district within the state, and the Senate is responsible for passing laws, approving budgets, and confirming appointments made by the governor.
The Delaware Senate operates under a set of rules and procedures that guide its legislative process. The Senate works alongside the lower chamber, the Delaware House of Representatives, to create and amend state laws. The current leadership includes a president pro tempore and a majority leader, who help facilitate discussions and decision-making.
