Delaware General Assembly
The Delaware General Assembly is the legislative body of the state of Delaware. It consists of two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. The General Assembly is responsible for creating laws, approving the state budget, and addressing various issues affecting Delaware residents.
Members of the General Assembly are elected by the public. The House has 41 representatives, while the Senate has 21 senators. Sessions typically begin in January and run through June, during which lawmakers propose and debate legislation that impacts the state's governance and its citizens' lives.
