Deductive Method
The Deductive Method is a logical approach to reasoning that starts with a general statement or hypothesis and examines the possibilities to reach a specific, logical conclusion. This method is often used in fields like mathematics and science, where broad principles are applied to specific cases to test their validity.
In practice, the Deductive Method involves three main steps: stating a general principle, applying it to a specific situation, and drawing a conclusion. For example, if we know that all humans are mortal and that Socrates is a human, we can deduce that Socrates is mortal.
